– New production process offers advantages in material processing
With the commissioning of the new fiber laser cutting system, MH Metallprofil GmbH is taking another step toward Industry 4.0. Last year, the production facility in Reichstädt was already extensively expanded with the addition of a new production hall. With the commissioning of the new fiber laser cutting system, the 10 production employees are now working with state-of-the-art laser technology. This enables high performance and precision when cutting thin materials. Production processes are also shortened and simplified. It took over a week of setup, installation, integration, and training before the new technology was ready to go. “By investing in state-of-the-art technology, we are continuing on our path toward digitalization. Our employees have mastered the challenges of the past few weeks exceptionally well despite having to handle a double workload, and they are highly committed. I am very proud of that,” says Michael Hübler, Managing Director of MH Metallprofil GmbH. The first projects have already been completed using the new technology.
